NYC gave proverbial toast to explorer Christopher Columbus on Monday, October 10 through an Italian-American procession up 5th Avenue from 44th St. to 72nd. The Parade is one of the biggest NYC events in October, with over 35,000 marchers and groups participating. Columbus Day marks the arrival of Christopher Columbus to the Americas and is dedicated to celebrating Italian-American heritage.
