Country Bank was awarded the Outstanding Corporate Philanthropy Award on March 9, 2016 by the Association of Development Officer’s at its 2016 Philanthropy Awards Breakfast. Country Bank was chosen for its outstanding support of Westchester nonprofits and their causes, which has improved and enhanced the lives of so many Westchester County nonprofit business residents. Murphy Jr., President & CEO, Carolyn T. Murphy, VP Marketing, and Patricia Murphy-MacGillivray, Board of Directors.

Country Bank prides itself of being good corporate citizens and being very involved within the communities it serves. They are dedicated to helping the residences, small businesses and local organizations thrive. Country Bank recognizes that greater good can be achieved by combining philanthropy, business and engaging community leaders, who care deeply about the future of the state, the county and the community as a whole.

Country Bank is devoted to building relationships with their customers. They have a revolutionary attitude for a modern bank . . . They actually encourage their customers to call or stop by any of their branch locations. Country Bank employs a highly trained technical and professional staff, but they still believe the best relationships are built with those old-fashioned, low-tech tools such as a personal conversation or a handshake. It is this attitude that makes them good corporate citizens.

At Iona College, the Murphy’s have combined both art and education with the Murphy Science & Technology Center and Iona College Art Center and Gallery. Not only educating with practical skills but also visual and creative skills. In addition, the Murphy’s have helped in enhancing lives of student experience at The Ursuline School by developing a new outdoor state of the art turf field called "Kelly MAC Field" for student’s field sports.

In the healthcare area, the Murphy’s have had many years of involvement with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which raises money for diabetes research. They were instrumental with the building of the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center at Columbia University Medical Center, where clinical and research are housed side by side to foster collaborative investigation for diabetes care and the ultimate cure.

As leaders in the community, Country Bank Management and the Murphy’s have been members of Board of Directors of many organizations to make a positive impact on society. Country Bank fosters the spirit of volunteerism and are supportive of various community not for profit and charitable organizations.
